Halloween at the wharf in Auckland

                                          Halloween 31st October 2015

I'd been to a few soiree's in my time and know that if I'm going to complain about something I had better get my facts straight. i'd chosen early in the night to not drink till arriving at the wharf as i knew i had a long night ahead of me and at my age I don't bounce back like i used to. Upon arriving to the venue I purchased a bottle of Moet and grabbed a couple of glasses to share with my date for the evening.

my friends had arrived and text me "please Joz come help"? strange i thought, so i said to Mr Bird to "watch my bottle"? i was back in a flash after checking on my friends in the "time out" area where they were made to drink water (sober up)
when i got back to the VIP area i was aghast to find some twit had knocked my whole bottle over!
angry and a little thirsty from all the running around i thought "bugger this" Adam Bennet will sort me out! and sure as eggs like a true gentleman he did.
off he went to find me a new full bottle of Verve.
it was the only bottle in the joint so i felt happy again and as it wasn't opened so safe from being knocked over.
So trit trott off i skipped with a smile returned to my face.
as i glided down the stairs some idiot shoulders me running up stairs and i loose my balance plummeting down several steps to land at the bottom in a heap but with my arm held high as to not smash said bottle of Verve that had become so precious to
me. (as in acorn from Ice Age movie) squirrel like.
I quickly bounced up sober as a judge determined to make it all the way back up to the VIP area where i felt bottle and i would be safe.
however on my way back discovered blood everywhere and it wasn't part of my costume.
i was ushered to the venue lounge for first aid and a bandage
to my leg which had a massive gash.
the ladies looked after me well as a relayed the story to them about the original idiot who knocked my first bottle over.
we all thought it was funny i managed to save the drink from the epic squirrel fall.
i then headed back to find Mr Bird. there he was with my friend Patric Seng waiting for my return.
just then Max Lemesh stops to take our photograph so i placed the now open bottle down behind the brown leather chair so it wouldn't get knocked over.
as i turn back to the chair to retrieve my bottle i find two young women chugging it back like babies on a teat.
so dismayed that they w
ere drinking it from the bottle and not a glass i gave up. I had been defeated and had no more left to pursue another vessel and consumed a glass of water .....
This is me turning my back to the crime happening behind me.

This is what I turned around to witness......

leaving........

                                                                         THE END

People I met out and about

Found this young man hanging around at Fashion week. He came over and introduced himself and told us he'd just landed from Tahiti. Looking lonely I decided to get him into a runway show and keep him entertained. I introduced him to head of security Mr Mack and left him in good hands. I have to say over all that everyone I met at fashion week was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Fashion week staff, media, security and venue staff all made me feel like I just belonged there. So for this reason I'll go back. Not only because I love fashion and all things girlie but because the people are great.
